On Your First Visit

On your first visit to our office, you will need to plan thirty minutes to an hour here. First, we will take X-rays of the teeth and jaws, and photos of your teeth and face. You will not be charged for this appointment. Dr. Duffy will also examine you and discuss potential treatment options, including if this is the proper time to begin treatment.

We answer all of the following questions to help determine what kind of treatment, if any, is needed:

• Is treatment needed now or should treatment be delayed until appropriate growth, tooth eruption, or other factors have occurred?
• What treatment procedures will be used to correct the problem?
• Do any teeth need to be removed?
• How long will treatment take?
• How much will it cost?
• What are my payment options?

Your complete clinical diagnosis will describe the nature of the problem, our goals for treatment, and fees. We encourage questions from both the patient and the parents, and we will make time for Dr. Duffy to answer all of your questions.
